1958 colour reel footage taken by Johnny Kendrick of a fairy tern nesting just south of Te Arai Point, aside nests of Caspian and White Fronted terns. The area currently in pine plantations was once a vast network of sand dunes, where pockets of terneries could flourish. The video reel was digitised by Bring It On Studios and then edited by Chris Wild in 2011.
