Kuta Dieback
Mahurangi Matters article on the dieback of 'Kuta' reed, at Tomorata Lake. The story features weaver Debbie Stone, who dicusses the importance of kuta to water quality and says the dieback looks to be a result of unauthorised spraying. Mark Abbot, Water Quality, Auckland Council stated in the article that water quality samples would be taken, as well as steps to uncover whether it was sprayed or not.
